debating on pulling the trigger (camera question)

Okay, after scanning the posts regarding recommended cameras that host good wide-angle capabilities, here's the choices I've narrowed it down to:

  • Canon SD870
  • Kodak V/570 or V705
  • Panasonic Lumix FX-07

So, I'm looking for any last word before I sink my $$ into a new camera.  I am really interested in a camera with a good wide-angle feature.

TIA!!!

My vote is for the Canon.  Great camera.  Keep in mind that if you want your pictures to really be great, it's not just the camera but also the printer.  Don't pour lots of money into a camera and then just go half way and get a junk printer.  I have a Epson all in one.  It's a printer, scanner, fax, and photo printer.  It has 6 ink colors instead of the usual 4.  I have noticed an incrediable difference in my pictures.  I love taking pictures and have taken them in many different places in the world.  I have several that I've printed off and framed and I really love my printer quality.  Best of luck and let us know what you decide.

Susan, in all honesty these are all fine cameras.  You should go to the store and lay all three out and play with them.  The one you feel the most comfortable with should be your pick.  A really top of the line camera that is not Susan friendly isn't worth a dime.

Gary ~ I do need to physically go and check each one out.  I am hoping to get one with strong wide-angle capabilities, as I continue to use my current digital, I get more frustrated at not getting the picture I know I could have.

Thanks! :)

Hi Susan!  We share your dilemma, to complicate it even more we are thinking about a video camera for posting house pics on you tube etc. Do you or anyone  have any recommendations.

By the way Susan, love your last name, maybe we are distant relatives.  Do you know if you have any from Canada?

Good luck in your selection
