I would like to start by wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday season!
November was a very busy month for real estate. I listed 6 GREAT Baltimore homes for Sale, rented 2 Dundalk townhomes, and sold 2 listings including a BaltimoreCity commercial property and a Dundalk townhouse. I was also able to help 2 First Time Home Buyers realize their dream of home ownership. One of my First Time Home Buyers was able to get a grant of $5000 towards his down payment & closing cost and was able to purchase a single family home in Dundalk with only $1250.00. December is starting off busy as well. I just put two homes under contract, one for a first time home buyer purchasing a home in Linthicum MD and one for an investor purchasing a home in Dundalk MD.
It appears that the real estate market is not as slow as it has been in the past this time of year. I checked with one of the mortgage lenders I know and the mortgage rates are still awesome. The FHA rates for today are 3.625 for a 30 year FHA fixed rate mortgage and 3.875% - 4% Conventional 30 year fixed rate (depending on credit). If you are thinking about buying a home or selling a home, now is a good time.
