What is my New Years Resolution? To be honest I kind of don’t like the term New Years Resolution. But, I guess in the past, if I even made a resolution and if I had to pick one that I resorted to, it would be the typical “get fit and lose weight”. I actually probably set that goal one year a long, long time ago and just kind of carried it over every year since.
I really do like the idea of healthy living (a.k.a getting fit and losing weight) not only to keep off those stubborn pounds that want I want to stay off, but I primarily try to stay fit for health reasons. Instead of a resolution, it is now just part of my lifestyle. What else could I do for 2015? Over the weekend, I was inspired for my new resolution which I will now call my lifestyle challenge.
So….what is the idea and my 2015 Lifestyle Challenge? I am focused to wake up each morning with the intent on living in the present day, be conscious of my thoughts of myself and others and focus on bringing joy to at least one person’s life that day in some way, shape or form whether big or small. I consider myself to be thoughtful a lot of the time, but it is easy to get wrapped up in yourself, day to day life and those thoughts become just those...thoughts I think this challenge will be a very impactful move. You might ask, what will I do to bring joy in 2015? Well, I don’t know yet,...I guess I’ll wake up January 1st , 2015 and go from there.
