Oh my goodness! There's fun to be had whether you are watching or ice skating....and much more. This Christmas we took ALL of the seven grandchildren to ice skate at Mt. View Ice Skating Rink in Vancouver, WA. And if you love saving money at the same time, here is a link to their coupon page!
It was a delightful evening. The grandkids learned a lot about ice skating and a LOT more about themselves. They had a blast hanging out with their cousins. A memorable night for sure.
This picture will remind you that, YES, it is cold at the ice rink. Bring gloves and hats and scarfs for the skaters and also for the people with you that are watching. And then bring a few extra warm items too for good measure. The hot chocolate for sale at the concession area is a good warming option too.
There are snacks there, birthday parties, an opportunity to watch the young people learn to play hockey. (This was extremely fun to watch. I had no idea it was so involved. Way cool.)
A good time was had by all!
