Everyone's favorite day-- Tax Day! A new twist...

What, this is not your favorite day?  Mailing away your estimated taxes for the upcoming quarter...and maybe kicking in some past due or extra taxes for last year, too?  Well, the great news is, if you're putting in $$$ for last year, then you probably made more than you'd originally expected, right?  And therefore they'll also want you to up the ante for an anticipated increase this coming year, yes?

Let's give this whole scenario a new spin this year. You're making more money so that's good news!! Except for adding in more deductions, we can't change the fact that we will all owe taxes. I like to pretend my tax dollars are going for "nice things" like parks and roads and the arts, etc, not some of the crazy, overpriced things the government seems to be so good at throwing money at year after year.

Another plus is the more we make, the more we can give, too. Everyone's got their favorite charities; I donate to local churches, World Vision, and California Labs and More dog rescue

So if you're looking for a new furry companion for your new La Mesa home or San Diego home, please let me know, as the rescue groups are overwhelmed with great dogs-- so many people dump their pregnant mamas and we save them. Precious is looking for a new home

Meet Precious, who was abandoned in a rock pile, very pregnant and very ill. She had 8 pups, and not one of them survived. About the same time, we rescued another mama, who gave birth to 8 healthy pups, then died, leaving all her puppies as orphans.  Precious came to their rescue and nursed them all.

Now she's my foster, and spends her days frolicking with my other rescues. She is an awesome watchdog-- very smart and very attentive. She's very hopeful that her new family will appear soon.

And-- once you find your wonderful new pet, I'll help you find the perfect La Mesa home for you, and them!
