Our country will be 239 years old this year.  Wow, amazing how time flies!!  Why not celebrate with the best Conejo Valley July 4th 2015 firework show guide.

 

Below is a complete and up to date listing and tips of July 4th events and firework shows in and around the Conejo Valley:

 

AGOURA HILLS

You will have to wait in Agoura Hills until July 5th where the City of Agoura Hills will be The Best Conejo Valley July 4th 2014 Firework Show Guideholding during the second concert in the Summer Concert Series at Chumash Park a massive and seemingly endless firework show which follows right next to the park at the Agoura High School football stadium.  Tip:  We recommend sitting toward the outer rings of the park instead of the center and bring plenty of water. FREE ADMISSION.

 

WESTLAKE VILLAGE

The 46th annual Westlake Village July 4th Parade will continue again this year.  The parade begins at 9:45am will end up at the Berniece Bennett Park through 12:00pm with live music, games and fun.  Tip:  Don't forget the pancake breakfast hosted by the Boy Scouts before the parade begins for only $5 a person.  

After you have a chance to rest up a bit, at 6:00pm head over to the Westlake Village Golf Course driving range area for more July 4th activities including games, contests and food.  The fireworks show will begin at 9:10pm from the Westlake Village Golf Course.  Tip:  Other great viewing areas are Bernice Bennett Park, the Westlake Village Inn and the Calvary Community Church.  FREE ADMISSION.

 

THOUSAND OAKS

Launching from the Hillcrest Center for the Arts in Thousand Oaks, the annual July 4th Fireworks Spectacular will occur again at 9:00pm and put on by the Conejo Recreation and Park District along with the City of Thousand Oaks.  Tip:  You can get a great view of the fireworks from the Janss Mall and the Oaks Mall. We have found that if you stay in the middle of the parking lots away from the lights and trees you will have a better 
shot of the show. The Janss Mall will have a ton of activities and live music going on before the fireworks show starting at 5:00pm until the firworks show at 9:00pm.  FREE ADMISSION.

There will be many other events going on during the day in the Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park areas including a pancake breakfast and a concert in the park.

 

CALABASAS

The City of Calabasas will put on their annual killer fireworks show, launching from the Calabasas High School campus at 9:00pm.  The event opens at 5:00pm with great family fun, music and kid events going on, along with massive amounts of food for purchase.  Tips & Tickets:  There is a charge for this event which is $10 per ticket (kids under 2 get in for free) and includes parking and all the entertainment and activities.  Must purchase tickets ahead of time at City Hall, the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center or the Bautista De Anza Park.

 

SIMI VALLEY

Located at the Rancho Santa Susana Park, the Rotary Club of Simi Valley will be putting on the 47th annual July 4th Festival and Fireworks show.  The festivities begin at 2:00pm with great live music, kids fun events and incredible food vendors.  The fireworks show begins at 9:20pm. FREE ADMISSION.

There will also be a really cool July 4th event going on at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley between the hours of 10:00am and 3:00pm.  There will be food, family entertainment, face painting, storytelling and president look alikes.  FREE ADMISSION - normal fee for entering museum if you choose to do so.

 

MOORPARK 

The City of Moorpark will once again be putting on a great fireworks event and show, BUT on the 3rd of July at Arroyo Vista Park.  There will be tons of games, food, enterainment and fun at the park starting at 4:00pm, with the fireworks show starting at 9:00pm.  Tickets:  Can be purchased by clicking on the link immediately above for $5 each and kids 4 and under are FREE.

 

CAMARILLO

It is expected that the City of Camarillo will be having their fantastic fireworks show at Camarillo High School as usual, but the event has yet to be annouced as of the date of this article.  Click here to stay up to date when the City posts the event.

Also a really "cool and refreshing" idea, the Pleasant Valley Aquatic Center will be offer FREE SWIMMING on the 4th of July between 1:00pm - 4:00pm.

 

VENTURA

The City of Ventura will be hosting the 4th of July Festival and Parade starting at 10:00am along Main Street, where there will be tons of food and vendor booths and live music - FREE ADMISSION.  The link immediately above has more details and street map for the event.

The Rotary Club of Ventura will be putting on an amazing fireworks show at the Ventura College Athletic Field with family picnic, live music and family fun starting at 5:00pm with the fireworks show shooting off at 9:00pm from the field.  Tickets:  You must purchase tickets to the fireworks show. 

 

OXNARD/CHANNEL ISLANDS

Located at the Channel Islands Harbor, you can view the 18th annual Fireworks by the Sea spectacular.  The festivities begin early at 10:30am with live music, kids fun zone, food and water taxi rides at the Channel Islands Harbor!  The Parade also starts at 10:30am along Harbor Boulevard from Albacore to Cabezone.  The fireworks show begins at 9:00pm.
