Specializing in Fine Egyptian Cuisine
Sometimes in Toronto the overhyped restaurants with big line-ups don't necessary mean the food is worth the wait. My husband and I came to Maha's for brunch over the weekend. By the time we got here at 9.30am, the restaurant was full and the waiting line was starting for the next round of tables. We peeked over everyone's table to see what others ordered. Since it was our first visit, it was really hard to narrow down our selection.
It took 10 mins before we got our table, jumpstarting with a turkish coffee, and a honey cardamom latte as soon as we sat down. For the main brunch items, we ordered the Egyptian falafel eggs with cumin homefries, a refershing watermelon feta salad, Batsturma scramble with cured beef served with Egyptian spices and charred balady bread. What delicious food!
For the regular brunch goer looking for a less predictable menu in Toronto, venture to Leslieville for a tasty alternative.
