What Jenison Michigan Has to Offer Your Family.

Born in city of Grand Rapids, MI and raised in the nearby community of Jenison, I have grown to truly love and enjoy this wonderful community.  I have watched this area grow from a small locale with one grocery store and the closest shopping mall about 40 minutes away, to a place which is known as having one of the Premier School Districts in the state of MI, fabulous shopping and restaurants nearby, community events and so much more!

 Michigan Beach

My personal favorite….Jenison is pretty centrally located (about 20 minutes) to both Michigan’s West Coast Beaches which are in my opinion some of the most BEAUTIFUL beaches you will ever find and the City of Grand Rapids, a city with a small town atmosphere and much enjoyment to offer. The sand of our beaches is soft on your feet and the sunsets spectacular!  My preferred time of the day to enjoy our beaches is late afternoon until sunset.  I would pack up my children when they were small, take a small luncheon of grapes, cheese, crackers, juice and the like then relax in my beach chair.  I so enjoyed watching them have the time of their lives building sandcastles, skim boarding and just playing in the water, then we would return home after sunset….those times were wonderful!  Even now that my children have grown my husband and I will still regularly go to the beach, grill a simple meal by the channel watching the boats come and go, and finally take in a gorgeous sunset.  I now joke with my husband…..when I am old and no longer able to get to the beach, you are going to have to provide a large tray of sand to set at my feet so I can dig my feet in and feel the soft coolness, for this I will surely miss.

The City of Grand Rapids….as I mentioned above still has a small town feel although we are building and growing.  The hotel accommodations are first rate, there is a vast variety of restaurants & night clubs, a Historic Home District, The VanAndel and Gerald R. Ford Museums, John Ball Zoo, and Fredric Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park…the list could go on.
