LET US PRAY
"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen" (Ephesians 4:29). Father, I read this verse this morning and was reminded of how important it is to "be careful little mouths what you say" as that children's song goes. Please forgive me of being guilty at times of not letting the most encouraging and beneficial things come out of my mouth. Please give me strength and wisdom through your Spirit to think before I speak. I want the words that come from me to be words of truth, words of light, words that are appropriate for the moment and the person or people who hear them. I want those words to be honoring to you and instructional, inspirational, motivational, encouraging to others. I want to be one who supports others in whatever it is they need, so that they are lifted up and motivated to reach their potential...to glorify you...to be blessed and be a blessing. Thank you for hearing me, God. Thank you for your forgiveness and your light. In the name of Jesus I come to you, amen.
