Put Your Mistakes Behind You

“What you do with a mistake – recognize it,

admit it, learn from it, forget it.”

Dean Smith, Basketball Coach

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Put your mistakes behind you

A mistake can be a learning experience . . . .  or a weight on your shoulders. What you do with a mistake becomes a personal choice.

Indentify your mistakes . . . . and what has caused them. Determine what happen . . . . and why . . . . and find a way not to repeat the mistakes in the future.

You can admit your mistakes . . . . and use the experiences as lessons to grow . . . .  Or you can be in a state of denial . . . . and be destined to repeat them.

You can carry your mistakes around with you to the point of exhaustion . . . .  Or we can move them into your past . . . .  and forget about them.

Mistakes are the tolls that you pay on your success journey . . . . pay them once . . . . and move on.

Put your mistakes behind you . . . . move on   . . . . and you will lighten your load on your success journey.

This is very good advice, Lou. I am good at not repeating them, however not so good at forgetting them.

Lou,

You never get anywhere by dwelling on your mistakes, but it's always good to remember them so they don't occur again.

This is a great time of year to start fresh and put all those negatives behind you.  Learn from them and then move forward.

My mistakes are very simple in nature.  When I put my trust in others . . . they are sadly disappointing.

The word "mistake" is a label I put on a situation in which the result was not what I had hoped.

I try like the dickens to avoid making a given mistake more than twice but sometimes it turns out to not be a mistake after all.

We all take actions based on our experience and expectations. Sometimes we wish we had done things differently, and we hope that the next time we will.
