My Surprising & Refreshing Phone Conversation With Linda K Mayer

My Surprising & Refreshing Phone Conversation with Linda K Mayer, Active Rain Member, Facebook Friend, Blog Author of The Bride Linda Kay Blog, & Sister in Christ. 

I've gotten to know Linda more on Facebook than on Active Rain.  That doesn't seem to be uncommon.  Linda Kay's Facebook posts scroll through my home page so on just about a daily basis, I am looking at something that she has posted for the world to see.  I called Linda earlier in the week, missed her and then just sent her a text message.  She returned my call, missed me.. we played phone tag a few times and texted a few times.. and then yesterday when I called, she answered. 

Linda was in the grocery store when she took my call and we finally got to visit.  She must be a multi-tasking lady.  I really enjoyed visiting with her and was a little surprised at some of what I learned.  Linda is not doing real estate, per se, right now.  Linda is writing.  Her blog Bride Linda Kay, Becoming a Woman After God's Own Heart is one of her projects.  She sent me a link to it in an email after our phone conversation and I read through a couple of the posts last night, receiving a blessing from her writing.  It is very obvious that Linda does have a mission, is a good writer, and loves the LORD very much.  If you enjoy Christian articles, please check out Linda's blog. When I called her, I asked how business was going, expecting to hear how her real estate business was going instead I learned about her writing.  That was the surprising part and when we talked about what she is writing, that was the refreshing part.  I could hear Linda's smile through the phone connection even though she's recently had and has some "not so fun" issues to deal with. 

I am sure that Linda and I will be visiting again.  The family of God has a way of doing that.
