I wasn’t sure I would catch up with any Rainers today to finish up with Debbie’s Ringing and Singing in the Rain Contest. But, I was fortunate to reach John McCormack from Albuquerque, New Mexico this afternoon while he was catching up on some down time. I had noticed that John hadn’t posted anything recently in the Rain, and this was a good opportunity to visit with him to see how things were going.
I had known John and Debbie since 2011 when I joined Active Rain, since they were very active in posting content for their blog on a daily basis, and commenting on other Rainer's posts. He was and still is the person I would recommend for anyone looking for a real estate professional in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area. John has been a broker for some 10 years, and he and Debbie opened and launched Albuquerque Homes Realty and AlbuquerqueHomes.com in 2006. They have been working in their home office for more than 5 years, and are satisfied with their business and production this pass year.
Business has been great in the Albuquerque area, and John plans to improve on his systems, and start utilizing many of the tools that he has on hand for his business. He spoke of making improvements to his CRM(Customer Relations Management) for those new agents out there.
We spoke about getting back in touch with many of our past clients, since new business was great, but we needed to remember how we got where we are. Having a prioritizing system would be a great benefit for getting everything done, and staying in touch with those past clients.
As far as what he planned to achieve in Active Rain for 2016, John mentioned that Debbie was good at posting in the Q & A section, and he was only going to focus on quality posts for his area. However, he planned to focus more on getting his own website up and going with an IDX, so it would have different content than what he posted on Active Rain.
We talked about how more and more folks are posting on Facebook and other social media sites. I told him how much my wife and I enjoyed his video with his pet Miniature Schnauzer, Dixie that he had made and posted on Facebook. We both recognized the need to know which type of communication that our clients preferred, so we could stay in touch with them more often.
If you don’t know John and Debbie McCormack from Albuquerque, New Mexico, I recommend you get to know them and follow their blog.
