Getting Back in the Groove!

Different context for me compared to what Kate Elim has in this re-post.

It's been a great vacation in India for 20 days.

Continued to be in 'Rain whenever possible.

And now....Getting Back in the Groove -  for my business.

Original content by Kate Elim VA 0225142975

Getting back in the groove takes a bit of discipline and some down time. The later is a result of vacationing at the beach. The past year has been a busy one. Spending 18 days in the hospital over a six month period along with surgery and time out while taking care of my husband following his stroke severely curtailed what little free time I had.

I've written about a very special listing that I have and posted that. It's a beginning. And not the end.

Reading a number of blogs from members that I follow has been interesting. There was one by Tammy Emineth that I found very helpful and reblogged it so hopefully more members will get to see it and be helped also.

My going away to vacation helps me to appreciate how much others enjoy vacationing at Lake Anna. Living there provides a year round partial vacation for me but it is only when I am away that I seem to be able to really cut back on real estate. With cell phones and computers (of course I have mine with me) means that we are never entirely real estate free. Probably the only time in the almost 30 years since I started doing this that I cut the cord was when I traveled to Antarctica. At a cost of $10.00 a minute I really did not make many calls.

This post was just to say I'm hoping to make the most of Active Rain once again. It is a super great marketing tool and a great community of special folks. I'm happy to be here.

Hi Praful - it really is nice to unplug and unwind.  In today's tech world I wonder how many of us unplug any more.

I get it, Praful... I go to Russia each year for two week and what with the jet lag, it's always a struggle to jump right back in the groove.

Praful Thakkar ~ hi Praful, I go to Russia each year and with the 8 hour time difference it takes me days to get "normal" once I arrive there and once I return home. (Worst part of the trip except for the 24 hours in transit.) Jet lag did not use to bother me, but after I turned 40 it got tougher with each decade.

Nina Hollander - lucky you get to visit Russia every year.

It was first time for me after 2012 - and it was hot hot hot in India (average daily high - 95 and low in 80s at night!)

Travel time almost same - about 22-26 hours! And time difference of 10.5 hours - almost day and night.

I hope to write couple of posts about India trip next week.

I still feel sleepy at 2 in the afternoon (which is about mid-night in India...) lol!

Praful Thakkar ~ I can relate, Praful, to how you're feeling. Every year when I return I'm up at 3am for days on end looking for something to eat, as in Russia that's going on lunchtime!

I make a point of carving out time each year to go... my oldest sister just died last week at 91 and my other sister who is 76 is also not in the best of health. So I never know what life will bring and try to see them annually.

Hi Nina...I'm so happy that you get home each year to see your family members. I spent years making trips home to see mine. It was very important that my children spent as much time with their relatives as possible.

Hi Paraful...Thank you for the re-blog. There are many reasons we sometimes go off track and need to get back in the grove. Traveling is one of the best reasons especially when it is a trip home to see family. I'm so happy for you that you were able to visit with yours.
