the "grandchildren" in my life came to be in my life through a family in need. They have 5 children, one being a 4 year old set of twins of which one of the twins has Cerebral Palsy. Intially I reached into their lives because they had a need. They were raising funds for equipment needed that insurance would not cover for their special needs child. But now, two years later, I go to their softball games, take them to the movies, attend all their birthday parties. They have given me so much more than I give them.

Tammy Lankford, what a good heart you have.
Tammy, that is often true when we reach out to help others. This particular woman is in great need but I hesitate to share too much about her situation because I want to protect her.
Hello Sybil ...
Wonderful post my friend and very touching, thanks for the read.

William, It does seem like things are workiing out well for her and her children.
Sally K and David, She has a long way to go before she will be living "happily ever after", but she is moving in the right direction.
