Well, this buck had his photo taken by Dave's trail-cam on May 22nd as he walked down the path in front of Dave's tree stand.
Just like kids waiting for birthday or Christmas Dave is counting days until bow season in fall.
During this time of year I will accompany Dave into the woods but during hunting season I persue other interests, like bargain hunting at the mall.
That's a good sized dear, Mary! We have the American River Parkway a couple blocks from my home. I enjoy riding my bike there, and often see deer. It's always a delightful surprise when I do!

Seems they are never shy this time of year but they do keep a sharp eye on the calendar and will be avoiding this spot when hunting season opens.
