DANA POINT, CA
A MUST GO TO PLACE IN SOUTHERN CA
The Weather in Dana Point is so amazing year round. Sunny and beautiful, beaches, harbor life. We walk the harbor on weekday walks, evening walks and Sunday coffee and walks. You will thoroughly enjoy staying at a local hotel and 100 yards from the harbor water. Dana Point Marina Inn, excellent prices, but not fancy.
Now, before I take you into the median top home price for the month and you already know my temperatures here with beautiful sunshine.
Let me tell you to grab a cup of coffee or lunch at Coffee Importers. It is on the harbor and it is the place to go to. My friend Jim Miller owns it and he is the son of the Millers that have owned it and have given back to the community through th years. So, please tell him that #oclauren says, 'hello" and sent you. Coffee Importers is right down the steps onto the harbor in front of the boats. Yes, right front and center.
The most common housing option in Dana Point for the month to date

Summer Activities
Lauren Selinsky's Top 5 places to go to this Summer and ALL year long. Why? Because it's summer all year long.
1. Doheny Beach
For the Orange county visitor seeking a more local, less congested perspective, low-wave Doheny is a great option to see. Doheny is mentioned in the popular Beach boys tunes, "Surfin' safari" and "Surfin' U.S.A.". On a bad note, this beach is one of the most polluted in the greater Los Angeles area. Never have seen the water very blue, more murky browish-blue. So, swimming is not by any means ideal but people still brave it. Mostly, watersport enthusiasts like surfers, paddleboarders and kayakers enjoy Doheny.
2. Ocean Institute
The Ocean Institute is located in Dana Point Harbor, and is open to the general public every day. Tour Monday through Friday and you can tour a portion of the Institute; tour on the weekend and you can see all of the public areas. The highlights include viewing hundreds of ocean animals in aquaria, ocean themed displays and a chance to walk on a tall ship (on Sundays). You can also take a whale watching cruise or tall ship sail on the weekends. There are many special events at the Institute every year, such as the Tall Ships Festival in September. It's a great place to visit, learn about our oceans and maritime history, and enjoy a beautiful location on the Pacific Ocean. If you live in the area, you can become a member and visit for free.
3. Stroll at the Harbor
Dana Point has a charming harbor area, featuring two marinas and a wharf. It's perfect to explore with a nice stroll during the day or evening. The harbor is the water adventure spot where visitors can embark on a sail, ferry to Catalina or sportfish. On land, try one of a dozen or so choices for dining or have a snack
4. Stand Up Paddleboarding
I just came back from Stand up Paddleboarding in the harbor with SUP Fitness Laguna. Nancy, the owner, is fun, informative and we all learned how to paddleboard pretty fast. It's a great sport and I am looking into buying my own paddleboard now. I would definitely recommend SUP Fitness Laguna as your place for Paddleboard lessons or rentals.Their number is 949-342-6555.

If you come to visit here you must get a lesson in surfing or you haven't had the Dana Point experience!! You can get lessons from the local surf shops like Killer Dana Surf shop here in Dana Point.

So, hope to see you out in Dana Point, CA and give me a call for tour, coffee or to see some homes or perhaps sell your home in Dana Point, CA
