Horsey Wordless Wednesday - Miniatures Can Do It Like the Big Boys

Making the Leap For the Blue

The Northampton County 4H recently held their fair, with Sunday being the day the 4H members showed their horses.  New for this year were the miniature horse classes.  The one class was in driving (pulling a cart) and the other was jumping a course.  Here you can see one of the miniature horses jumping over one of the jumps and clearing it with no problems.  It looked like he was enjoying it.  This miniature horse and his handler were the winners of the jumping class.  It was so much fun watching these little horses go over the jumps.

Now hols on just a cotton-pickin' minute there, Brigita McKelvie ! I see the horse jumping, but where is the little monkey rider?

Sandy & Norm,

Ooooops!  I think the horse forgot it's rider.

I love little horses.  There is an Amazon Prime commercial that features the story of one.  I love it.  Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aU_c8aabw2Y

Hi Brigita - what a great picture.  What a cute horse.  I have never been to a 4H show.

Grant,

It is really enjoyable to watch a 4H show.  The members not only show their animals, but also how much knowledge they have learned along with responsibility.  The miniature horses are cute.

This reminds me of my dog (a cocker spaniel). He's sure that he is as big as any German Shepherd and knows no fear due to his dimiuitive size.  Apparently, the same is true for these miniatures.  That's a great spirit.

Yes, it is, Claude!

Years ago, my horse was the head of the herd.  I then brought a pony into the herd.  My horse then marched over to the pony to show him who the boss was.  The pony just turned and gave him the evil eye.  From that moment on, my horse knew the pony was in charge.
