Blueberry Apple Crisp for later tonight

This is a recipes that I really like.

3 cups blueberries (fresh)

3 cups very tart apples, sliced

brown sugar to taste

1 coup flour 3/4 cup sugar

1 tsp baking powder

3/4 salt

1 egg

1/3 cup butter

1/2 tsp cinnamon

Grease a baking dish and add apples and blueberries. Sugar with the brown sugar to taste. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and unbeaten egg with fork until miture becomes crumbly, Sprinkle this over the fruit. Bake at 350 for 30 mins until top is golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream. Makes about 6 portions

As you know from my comments on Mary's reblog....this recipe is almost identical to my favorite apple crisp recipe I've been making for my family since the early 80's.

I told my daughters about adding blueberries to our crisp and they LOVED the idea.

I made it a couple days ago and it was fabulous. I will probably never make it again with just apples. I did not put the brown sugar and I only used 1/2 cup of white sugar and it was plenty sweet enough for us.

fyi...your recipe doesn't say when to add the cinnamon. I assume it's the same as mine and you sprinkle it over the top of the flour mixture just before adding the melted butter?
