I have chosen to share #4: "ActiveRain welcomes the active participation of all real estate professionals, irrespective of their affiliation with industry groups or trade associations. We believe a vibrant and diverse real estate community is essential to maintaining a strong organization."

Active Rain was mentioned in a class I attended in June of 2016. Since I have always enjoyed writing and reading the perspectives of others, I was immediately intrigued.  I posted my first blog on June 26, 2016 and can personally testify to the warm welcome I received.  

I continue to appreciate the diverse perspectives and sincere desire by many to offer insight and opinions as well as share stories from their experience. Continued vibrancy is the attribute of a healthy, thriving community, and is best achieved when the voices within the forum feel 'heard.'  Writing a blog offers the opportunity to let one's voice be spoken and once the comments start to flow, the blogger feels a sense of being 'heard' and furthermore may even get the deeper feeling of being 'understood.'  A blogger is not necessarily looking for mere 'agreement' - no, a writer from the heart is desiring a 'connection' through the threads of the written word.
