Tulsa Pet Adoption Day - Clear the Shelters
NBC Universal, Telemundo and Petco teamed up with local animal shelters to create the nationwide "Clear the Shelters" event this weekend. The Tulsa Pet Adoption Day involves four local animal shelters. Hours of operation vary per shelter. At the Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter, take home a pet for just $10. Add a microchip for just $15 more. Last year, the Humane Society of Tulsa adopted out over 1000 dogs and cats. Animal Aid of Tulsa promises to waive adoption fees for all approved applicants. BOB FM broadcasts live during the event, too. Finally, the Tulsa SPCA touts "name your price" adoptions for one day only.
