Double, Double, Toil and Trouble - A Spooky MacBeth Moment

Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.

 

Chef Bernie loves to cook, and I love to let him. This morning, as he worked in the kitchen, sunshine streamed in through a window creating a very seasonal (Halloween) scene. I felt tempted to ask if he’s added the fillet of a fenny snake, eye of newt, toe of frog, wool of bat, and tongue of dog?  No, McKinley would never let him use the tongue of a dog! Regardless, I’m relieved that it’s my sister’s weekend to host Sunday dinner at our Multigenerational home in Camas. Can you blame me? And as the head dishwasher and cleaning person, the messy stove is already spooking me.

Despite the mess, that's an amazing photo and perfect for Halloween! But I have to ask, did you expel Bernie from doing further kitchen duty? I'm also wondering if he was drinking a witches brew while he was cooking? It sure looks like a witches brew and what a mess! Will he need to go out and buy you new pots and pans?
