5 Study Habits to Get Great Grades

In truth, schooling can be a very hectic experience, especially when one is combining academic activities with extra-curricular such as sports, debating and others. However, like every other thing that involves juggling multiple activities over the same period of time, time management is the key factor in doing all of them successfully.

Those people who manage their time efficiently are more likely to succeed academically and get good grades while also succeeding in their other activities. Here are four ways you can also explore to optimize your time management and get the best possible grades in school:

1. Draw Up a Study Timetable

Planning makes everything easier and studying is definitely not an exception. Take the time to draw up a study timetable that will set specific periods of time in which you’ll tackle different subjects over the course of a week. Space the study periods out in a way that will allow you to review your notes just before any upcoming class so that you are ready to answer any questions or take any tests that come up.

2. Get a Study Group

When it comes to studying extensive topics or ones that you find a bit difficult, one of the most effective things you can do is to get a group of friends with whom you can discuss topics and get psychology homework answers from, for example. That will help you remember better because human beings naturally remember more of what we read and hear as opposed to what we read alone. for instance. Just ensure that you get study group members who are equally committed to maximizing their study period so you don’t end up spending half the time on irrelevant discussions.

3. Hide Distractions Away

The most obvious culprit here is your cell phone. If you are studying and have your cell phone beside you, it is very likely that you will be tempted to open it up and use it regularly during the period in which you are supposed to be studying. The better way to handle it is to ensure that your phone is out of sight and out of mind. Keep your phone in a different room and on silent mode so that even if there are any notifications the sounds will not distract you. It might be difficult to do in the beginning but keep at it and it will definitely get easier over time.

4. Designate a Study Area

When you have to move from place to place or rearrange the stuff that is in any one particular place in order for you to begin studying, you likely lose a significant amount of time that could have been better spent working on your notes. What you should do is to specify an area where you are going to study regularly, and then keep it clean and clear of all distractions so you can simply move in and out when you want to study. The crucial thing is to ensure that it is comfortable for you so you’ll be able to study for extended periods of time without feeling fatigued.
