It is FREE to walk around the lake on the trails, and picnic.

This is a paradise for dog walkers.  Last night, I took my foster dog, Maybelline, for a stroll.  We did a meet and greet as we went.  Dog people are very friendly, and most of the dogs are too!

Dogs must be leashed within 100 feet of the parking lot.

Maybelline is  very well trained and never leaves my side.

In fact, she would prefer I did all the walking, and she was carried.

Word of caution:  the trails are full of tangled half-exposed roots, it is easy to trip.

The babbling brooks are so peaceful.  The perfect way to de-stress the day.

Valerie Osterhoudt (Johnson Real Estate, Inc.):  Thank you Valerie.  I went for a walk there yesterday, too.  I was going to start taking pictures of the dogs we meet, but the re-chargable batteries were dead.  :(    Oh well!

Best wishes and continued success!

Hi!  Is this an off leash park?  Is Mabel up for adoption?  How old is she?  A real cutie!

Joan Wexelbaum (Hamilton Mortgage):  My understanding (from reading the signs) that the dogs need to be leashed within 100 ft of the parking lots.  Also, only 3 dogs per walker.

Is Mabel up for adoption?  Oh don't ask me that!  I love her.  I would have to be adopted with her!

Mabel was born on Halloween almost two years ago.  There are "others" like her.  All have incredibly sweet dispositions.  There is Vera, Ned, Bruce, Mabel, and Coco.   Note to self: take a group snap shot.

Thank you for commenting Joan.  I wish you much success and good health!
