My solution to staying young is to spend time with Cassie, Tiffany, Brody and Zach. My 4 grand kids are into everything from track, to soccer, to baseball, and basketball.
As a Grandpa I'm still good at teaching them everything but track. I also gave up skiing a few years back so skiing is something I will teach them by paying for ski classes for them.
They are now 14, 12, 10 and 8 respectivley. We talk lots and lots even with them living outside of Colorado in Akron, Ohio. We make it a point to see them 3 times a year and not always just for birthdays. The last 2 years was big for all of us. I got them out on horseback and the two girls are so good and picked up riding fast with their grandpa showing them the ropes. I can see the two girls barrel racing a couple of years from now.
As for the boys, well they wish I was back there more to help them with baseball. Brody is a shortstop for sure and Zach will get better with time. I can see hunting in their future also thanks to there father, but grandpa only shoots animals with a camera now.
So happy to have these four in my life!
