Today in this video, we're going to talk about one simple thing.

What time is it in Nashville?

Hey, Rhonda Burgess here. Nashville real estate broker and native Nashvillian and I want to cover just one quick topic. What time is it in Nashville?

Nashville is on central standard time. Nashville is on central standard time.

We are one hour behind the east coast, two hours ahead of the west coast.

I go over this because in the past two weeks I've had people who called me from the videos I've been making.

And we've been out looking at houses and just getting to know the Nashville area and both clients were coming from the eastern standard time.

And so when they say, well, we'll meet at let's say 12 noon, I'm thinking 12 noon our time, central standard time.

They're on 12 noon eastern time. So they're here like an hour early or they're time is just completely off.

A lot of people think we're on eastern time because they've been to Gatlinburg or they've been somewhere in east Tennessee.

Chattanooga, Knoxville and Gatlinburg are in eastern standard time.

But Nashville and Memphis, we are in central standard time and we do participate in daylight savings time. So as

I'm shooting this today is March 6, 2019; we will spring forward this upcoming weekend.

I know that we have a bill that has been circulated in our Tennessee legislature to stop doing daylight savings time.

So that once we go forward, you know, forward in the spring, -spring forward, and then the fall back. Once we go forward in the spring, this time that we've got a bill going through the (House) right now to just stay on that time and to not fall back, not to do daylight savings time anymore.

So the main thing to know that Nashville, if you're moving to Nashville, going to be living in Nashville, you're going to be visiting Nashville.

You're coming down, and you're looking around.

We are on central standard time.

I just want to say thank you again for watching my video.
