When you make the decision to hire a real estate coach or buy a real estate course, you should take the process very seriously.

You work hard and you are not looking to throw your money away so making a good choice is extremely important.

Real estate coaches and real estate courses are not one-size-fits-all so you want to make sure you are hiring the right person or buying the right program.  Here are some questions that I receive all the time about my course and these are questions that you should be asking before putting your money and your time on the line:

  • Have you ever sold real estate and if so, for how long?  Hint:  the answer should be a resounding YES!
  • How many years experience do you have?
  • Do you have forms, scripts, downloads that I can use in my business?  (No matter where your market is)
  • Do you have a money-back guaranty?
  • Are you personally available for questions/help during the course or coaching program?
  • Is your course or coaching program practical or theoretical?  (You want practical)
  • Do you have a payment plan?  Do you have a discount price for groups?
  • For how long will I have access to the course/coaching?
  • Why is your program better than others out there?
  • Is this a magic bullet?  (Sorry, the answer to this should be NO!)
  • What results should I expect?
  • Why is your program better than others out there?

Don't be swayed or wow'd by promises that you will double your business with minimal work.  If the tagline is "Have Clients Begging to Work With You!" walk away.  Whether you've been in real estate sales for 25 years, 25 months, 25 days or 25 minutes, you know that our business is one that needs to be cultivated by working systems and having a plan for every day!  It is an easy business to get into and an easy business to get out of.  If you're willing to treat this business like a job and if you want to build a sustainable career, then you know clients are not going to be falling out of the sky at your feet. However, there are definitely strategies and systems to put in place that will help you build a foundation and a predictable business.  Do your research, listen to your gut and make sure you seek out the right program for you!
