We are seeing them more and more, but how do you, someone with an older home, compete with a brand new home that is completely green?

One way is to add things to your home that use what nature has given us in Oregon, in abundance. RAIN! Rain is everywhere on the west side of the Cascades. Why not spend the same amount you would spend on a sprinkler system that uses the public water system and install what is called a rain catch and water drip system to water your yard and garden.

The drip system basically works like a sprinkler delivering water to all your plants and grass, but uses gravity and recycled rain water instead of the public water system.

So if you are planning to sell your home and are considering putting in a sprinkler system, consider going green for the same cost and give your home a selling feature that a lot of the new homes are using.

You mean you actually have to water your garden up there?  haha

We are firm believers in catchment systems... everybody should have one.
