I have always said if any one person can be both from LaPorte and Michigan City. I am that person. I was born and raised in Springfield township. I had a Michigan City address and a LaPorte phone number meaning I rarely spoke to my Michigan City friends on the phone.
I did graduate from LaPorte high school nad lived off of Monroe for years, but I live in Chesterton now.
But, I felt the need to do some research, and I am glad that I did.
Did you know...
LaPorte is the baseball capital of Indiana with 8 state champions and two national.
LaPorte had a University and a medical school and the founder of the Mayo Clinic was a graduate.
