Wow - 34 people! What a great turnout for the head honcho. He started off talking about the book "The One Thing by Gary Keller (I think you know who he is)" all about multi-tasking. The 'Wealthy Code by George Antone (he's got two other books out as well that are pretty good) and 'Positioning' by Henning Glasser.
He then shared with us about a lot of progress that has been made. 1. He's working on building it with better code and upgrading it's current code to be newer. 2. Upgraded the actual code base and contain certain areas of the system.
Look for some serious changes coming our way! Yes, it's going to take some time (a few months), but it will be worth it. Think about this as the foundation of a house so that it's stable and doesn't fall down or crash when there's an issue.
Ben is going to work on the blog editor, making it easier to use and have more functionality. Not immediately, but it's in the works.
He also wants to greatly improve the site index and search engine optimation of Active Rain for its members. This will also ultimately improve the User's experience who come to visit and see your blogs and profiles.
Ben would like us to wait to invite new people to join us until he has made many of these changes.
He feels that giving local information that is not covered by major media will make the site number 1 in many different ways.
All in all, look for changes, new designs to the website, a better User experience and more.
