If you are looking for a real estate crystal ball, the best shot you’ve got is with the pending home sales report. Normal real estate SALES reports show you what happened a month or so ago, but a study of PENDING home sales is a glimpse of what is happening on the street today.

My real estate crystal ball (aka the Pending Home Sales Report) will tell you what you need to know about the current real estate market as well as a forecast for the next quarter. What it reveals is nothing like you would expect to hear during a global pandemic.

You're right Joe. The real estate market doesn't really reflect a slow down from the pandemic. Pendings do tell the story.
