I have come to the realization that I have a problem. As of recently, I can't stop shopping for area rugs online. I don't know what it is, but I find myself always searching for new ones. Now, I do have to say that I do often look around for new ones however, I hold myself back (most of the time). But I'm feeling weak right now and I'm about 2 clicks away from buying a new rug for my living and dining room.
I'm having a hard time justifying the new rug for the dining room because I purchased a new one at the beginning of the year. To explain a little further, I gave my dining room a makeover last year. I painted the room my new favorite pewter paint color, I got a new table, installed built-ins, and updated some accessories. I left the rug for last because I could not find one that fit the room. Eventually, I got fed up with it and purchased a rug that I wasn't 100% in love with.
Every time I went into my dining room, something felt off. I tried, switching out accessories, moving things around, but it still wasn't right. Finally, it hit me, the rug. The rug is wrong for the room. I suppose I knew it all along but did not want to admit it. I didn't spend a lot on the rug, I mean I have 2 dogs and it would be silly for me to do so. But I still spent the money.
So here I am, a few clicks away from a new dining rug that I don't need but really certainly want.
As for the living room rug, I bought the current one I have for $20, so I am OK with getting something new for that room.
I think I'll continue to search a little more, I want to make sure this next rug is one I whole-heartedly love!
