Challenges Make Us Grow

Instead of taking the safe route, we must challenge ourselves to improve - to become better - even if we think we know everything.  Every obstacle is a challenge and a learning experience.

Even the horses need to be challenged when being trained.  This is what gets their thinking caps on and using their brains.  If they take the safe route and do the same old, same old, then the brain cells are not activated.  They must be challenged simply by changing the routine, or the pattern, etc. just so they do not become robots.  

The same holds true for us humans.  If we continue going the safe route, nothing in our lives will change.  We will not learn anything new, staying at a standstill.  While the world continues to progress, we would be left behind.  

Some challenges are harder than others.  No matter what the difficulty, we learn from them, making us stronger and better as a person and in what we do, possibly preventing us from making the same mistakes.

I have had many challenges in my real estate career.  Most were difficult.  There were times I considered quitting, but I did not.  I just moved forward with courage and tackled the challenge.  After succeeding with the challenge, I felt much better about myself, knowing that I can do it, even if it does take some time.

The next time you come across a challenge, instead of taking the safe and easy way out, do it the right way by taking the challenge and facing it head on.  In the end you will be glad you did.  (Not to mention your clients will be, too.)
