I have been in real estate now for just over 90 days. On the advice of my Broker, Lola Audu, Active Rain was the first place I visited in order to learn as much as I could as fast as I could. I agonized over posting my first blog, which I did just 10 days ago, because I thought to myself...What can I possibly write about that would be of any value to anyone? Then, last week, something happened that just made me laugh at my own fears and I wanted to share it. I received a lead through a friend on 26 parcels of land that needed to be sold! Exciting, I know! So what did I do? Called Lola of course!
As we were discussing the phone call I was about to make, I said..."I am not feeling confident about discussing the sale of land, (especially 26 parcels of land), when I have never sold land before." Without missing a beat, Lola asked me if I have ever successfully put a house on the market by myself. My answer was yes. She then asked me if that house was on land. After I stopped giggling, I answered yes. She then said the 4 words that have changed the way I think and consequently how I work- Don't ever doubt yourself! I think we can all benefit from that kind of encouragement because it really IS that simple.
