It's Not About Closing The Deal!

By
Real Estate Agent with Williams & Stuart Real Estate

True success comes to those who are more concerned about their clients needs than their own.  In the ever changing market, we can easily get caught up with negotiations and numbers and don't take as much time to develop the relationship.  After 23 years in sales, the biggest lesson I have learned is that it's the relationship building time that not only builds your business beyond expections, but also makes the job so much more enjoyable!  Your clients successes in real estate are your successes in real estate!  Make it personal and enjoy the moment with them!

Sally,

Very well said. It's all about the relationships. You obviously have figured that out.

Sally, great post. I like to think of this area as being a giver or taker. I beleive givers tend to make great buyer agents and takers tend to make great selling agents.

Sally--This goes for mortgage consultants as well. The reason most mortgage brokers are no longer in business is because the refinance boom is over and they did not care to develope that relationship for repeat business. To most, refinance is a "hit and run thing". Wrong attitude. Thanks for reminding people.

I agree. We also need to forget the paycheck and do what right for a client. Period. Then if it works out the money will come. Do whats right first!
