Club Chaos Eye Candy: Welcome To a Forest Hills Tour of Homes (Vol 2)

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Tann Starr & Associates, Inc.

This series of residential tours is inspired by my girlfriends Elizabeth Weintraub (of Sacramento) and Poppy Dinsey (of London, UK). The Weintraub Gallery features her favorite Land Park Homes in Sacramento (About.com), while Poppy D (Zoomf) takes us on an eclectic tour of her neck of the woods in "A Walk Around London England." If you are into eye candy like me, then I encourage you to bookmark both of their blogs. I promise you, you will not be disappointed...

Who knew turtle runs could become such international fun? May all the readers enjoy my second selection of favorite homes in the neighborhood.

Queens County is a great place to live! I love New York City.

Carolyn, I like this area for the mature trees. My grandmother and my father's family grew up around Queens and Jamaica. I may have been in Texas forever but I am a native New Yorker. That's probably why I never shut up! : )

These are really beautiful homes. New York has been on my list of places to visit, and now after seeing these I am more excited than ever. Thanks!

Laura, you are very welcome.

Ruthmarie, they vary in size. I've seen lots between 20X100 to 125x200 plus.

Sondra, thank you.

Gary, no matter where native New Yorkers migrate to, they tend to "still stay native" in their hearts.

Patty and Scott, you must email me when you do come. I'll have lots of tips for your vacation..."

Leesa, the pictures are amazing! The commentary is a treat as well. Poppy has inspired me to do a series of several paintings. I've already picked up my canvas and plan to do a slow run across the Brooklyn Bridge on Friday. I shall aim my Nikon in every direction from beginning, middle and end. This should be very interesting... Maybe I'll photograph City Hall as well. It's literally on the other end of the Brooklyn Bridge. Lovely!

Hello Poppy, I am very pleased you stopped by. I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures from my turtle run. I have a lot more for you and am always looking forward to your next blog installment. You must let me know when you are coming to New York so I can introduce you to some very interesting people and neighborhoods with tasty food, excellent shopping, and lots of eye candy. No visit could ever be complete without spending a day to play upstate in the neighboring counties (after a comfortable tour of all five boroughs, of course).

Carolyn - From Hansel and Gretel to Leave it to Beaver, this home tour has something for everyone.  I really enjoy seeing pictures from other areas, real estate or not.  Poppy's London post was fun, too.

Mike, I love the older neighborhoods and spend a lot of my exercise time wandering through them while enjoying a slow jog about.

Carolyn,

These are amazing homes!! It's true that those of us who have never been to NY, only think about the city. I have heard that NY state is very beautiful, but I've never seen pictures. Thanks for sharing these! Everything looks so green. The trees are absolutley gorgeous. In the last three photos--there are some very large trees featured--what type of trees are they? In the San Diego area, in many yards, we have really beautiful sycamores. And in the wild we have majestic oaks and willows.

I look forward to seeing more photos of NY!

The 1st house looks like the fairytale Gingerbread house from the brothers Grimm. I was expecting Hansel and Gretel =)

Valerie, I aim to please...  Wait until you guys see where I've been running today.  Not only did I complete a second run across the Brooklyn Bridge to jog City Hall Park, I also ran under the Bridge on the return to showcase the Brooklyn Brownstones at Columbia Heights off Pineapple Walk (which boasts spectacular water front views of the Manhattan skyline). I can not pronounce the names of the muscles that now ache, but the eye candy was worth every step for today was a three turtle run day
