facebook IS A MUST...

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Residential

All agents should have a facebook profile.

It's that important.

It is the most powerful networking tool I have ever seen.

So easy.  If you are reading this post, you can have your own profile within 5 minutes.

So fun.  So powerful.  A very good combination.

First introduced to Facebook by Active Rainer Carl Ostenson in mid September, I certainly was reluctant.

"It's for kids!" I thought.

That sounds old.  Real old.

I was, however, in the mood for something different.  I had been blogging for 8 months, and was just starting to see some returns.  I was starting to want more...

So I let down my barriers and created my own facebook profile.

Quick.  Easy.  Painless.

And fun.

I currently have 47 "friends" on facebook.

I am connecting with new people daily.

Have I gotten business from facebook?  Not yet.

But I will.

I have been talking about real estate with people I haven't seen in years.

New people are reading my blogs.

All extra exposure to my brand.

Business will come.

So what are you waiting for?

Join facebook today.

Ken

A Realtor you can trust.

Hi Anne Marie, T+P, and Richard.  Thanks for reading.

Ann-Marie, thanks for visiting out of country!

T+P, true.  But with AR, and Twitter to bounce your posts to facebook, the three are a deadly combo!

Richard, enjoy it.  Post pictures.  Play around.  Everything gets activity.

Thanks again,

Ken

Hi Ken!
I have a facebook page, but have not figured out where the "blogging" occurs.  Could you tell me where you do this?  I haven't found it useful, so obviously I am missing something!

Hi Paula and Steve.  Thanks for reading.

Paula, I have my blogs fed to Twitter (go to your settings page to set this up), which sends them to facebook.  It makes it easier for your friends to read your posts.

Give it time.  Post pictures.  Have fun.

It will help.

Morning Ken,

I have been reading about facebook, but like you and others, thought it for kids. Have heard it is very much like myspace. Will give it a look now though.

Thanks for the post.

Ken - Clearly, I agree with you.  I wrote a post about Facebook and Twitter a few days ago, and how I have managed to receive leads from both sites.  Keep up the good work!

Hi Jason, Gita, and Hal.  Thanks for reading.

I have a MySpace account too.  I don't use it much.  Nor Linkedin, or Twitter.

Facebook seems so easy and friendly.

Thanks again,

Ken

Hi James.  Thanks for reading.

Just like Active Rain, you get out of it what you put into it.

It's important to comment on other peoples pages.

Makes it fun.

Thanks again,

Ken- Facebook is a great site to both catch up with people and to make ourselves available to others. I have a profile there and while it is not terribly active I have gotten a couple of very good leads from it.

Best,

Scott
