As a child, growing up in the bread basket, fish was a meal I rarely encountered, when I did, it was usually served in the form of a tuna fish sandwich.
This result was that I never acquired a taste for fish, in fact I found it slightly offensive. What a wonderful treat to learn, albeit later in life, that fish can be delicious!
I had the good fortune to taste another diner's fish at the Black Dog, before I ordered my own meal. That one bite was so tasty I ordered a plate for myself. Flounder, grilled in peppers and onions, unbelievable, melt in your mouth, yum.
Yesterday I had the garlic fish at Mannys. Again flounder and again, oh my, I can't believe it, fabulous.
This has opened a whole new world of wonderful options for me. Thank you to the Black Dog and Mannys, in Puerto Penasco, I've been converted.
