Happy Thanksgiving! Take a minute

I was headed out to Tooele (about 50 miles from my home) to pick up my car from the shop, (long story that involves me backing into the end of a railroad track, it's hard to explain)and I was listening to the radio, which is not something that I frequently do and heard all the negativity surrounding the economy and our current state of affairs in our great country. I was struck at how awful they made everything sound, and admittedly I got a little sucked into the game they were playing. Fortunately I was reminded that tomorrow is Thanksgiving, which has long been among my favorite holidays, when I was younger it was all about the food, but as I got older (and fatter, then skinnier) it changed into something else altogether, it really in my heart became a celebration fo the things that matter most in my life, and the things for which I carry gratitude in my heart about, and I just wanted to take a moment and share with you some of the things that I am so happy to have in my life

1-A wonderful spouse who supports me in all I do, and believes in me, no matter what
2-Children I can only describe as miraculous in both behavior and love
3-An incredible bunch of brothers and sisters who do anything to help eachother out
4-Parents that taught me so many things, most importantly the importance of family and a great work ethic
5-Lifelong friends that have always been there for me, even when I didn't deserve it.
6-A love of music that has been the principal theme of my life for as long as I can remember
7-A home, and when I say home I don't mean four walls, I mean the atmosphere of the place that is brought about by my sweet wife
The list could go on and on, I would urge everyone out there to take a minute and actually write down some of the things in your life that bring you happiness, I guarantee it will lift your heart and bring you a great deal of clarity.

Keith, what we too often forget is that it's all relative. Sure the economy is in the tank, but it's cyclical and it will recover. Perhaps it will take longer than we might wish, but we're not in soup lines. I did see lines earlier this week, but they were waiting to purchase the new Blackberry. We have much to be thankful for; we've just grown soft and sometimes expect too much.

Hey, Keith. Ditto. I think that this year we all have a lot to be thankful for. I am extremely blessed and thankful for everyone in my life. All my best, Jim
