Why I Boycotted Blogging.......

Love you guys.......But........ Sometimes you need a mental break from all things real estate. I'd reached a point where I"d read all I needed about rates, elections, staging and surviving this market. So I boycotted both Blogging AND the News. And guess what...my heart rate slowed greatly!

Now I"ve had my rest but continue to boycott the News. I'm hoping the last month of not blogging has filled my head with some extra sharp witted ideas and funny (cuz that's what I'm known for on this site IE: Redneck Realtors) remarks as well as revelations.

I've ended my AR sabbatical and am now ready to dive back in. But I think once in a while you have to stop and smell the roses and take a breather from Real Estate or it can consume you. And that's what my God and family are for..not my work.

But do you hear the Welcome Back Kotter theme song behind this post???."Wecome back... LOL

Welcome Back Holly! I think you are wise to continue avoiding the news...at least the National/International news. You can always catch the local news, bake sales, cub scout Holiday trees, etc. Nothing too "brain damaging" in there!

I concur with your blog post. I have been very frustrated and uninspired by most of the writings on ActiveRain. Hence....My posting/commenting frequency has declined significantly. Like you...........

I am trying to use December as a way to rebuild my momentum for Blogging 2009.

Maybe.....you and I can contribute a wealth of sharp, witted and educational ideas that will make the South Carolina corner of ActiveRain one of the most popular sections on this platform.
