Kavanaugh House in Lawrenceburg KY

By
Real Estate Agent with Lawrenceburg KY Foreclosures & Government Owned Properties

Come to Lawrenceburg, Kentucky and tour the Kavanaugh House.  It is a beautiful historic home that once housed the county high school.  Now the Kavanaugh House is a bed and breakfast with the best tea room in Central Kentucky.  They serve a variety of foods on their menu and it is always freshly prepared.  You immediately feel right at home on the beautiful wrap-around porch in the summertime.

The Kavanaugh House is located on Hwy 62 East and is centrally located between the Bluegrass Parkway and I-64.  After enjoying a meal and before sitting down to relax, take a tour of one of our famous distilleries.  Lawrenceburg is the home of Wild Turkey and Four Roses.  Both feature tours and gift shops.

Web site doesn't give much information.  Would be nice to know how many guest rooms there are.  A picture of one or more of the rooms would be helpful.  Also pictures of the common areas.

I went to school in this building for one year -- freshman in high school, which was the last year it was a school as Kavanaugh and Lawrenceburg High Schools were combined to form Anderson High School, and a new building erected to house it.

Have had a meal or two in the dining room, and would love to see my high school class use it as the base for our 60 year anniverary next year.  Several of my classmates live out of state, and would need overnight accommodations.  (Also since we will all be about 78 years old, would be interesting to know how many bedrooms are on first floor and/or is there now an elevator in the building.)
