What a market! But, look out below!
The market index covering the broadest spectrum of our equity market, the Dow Jones WILSHIRE 5000 index, and the only market index remaining which had not broken below the Nov 20 lows as of Friday's close, just today 3/2/09 fell out of bed and crashed through the floor by the close. As close to the truest definition of a bear market as I've heard of. But since the CBOE Volatility Index is near its all-time-high, I'm guessing that a bottom is approaching soon, and we may see it following Friday's jobs report numbers ... but, we may also see the DJ Industrials plunge below 4000 in a capitulation-style sell-off.
