No offense guys, but I just realized I use Active Rain to fill in the unscheduled moments of my real estate day. For instance, I am waiting for a client to call me with his counter offer terms; while I'm in this hurry up-and-wait mode, I wrote a quick post on local sales.
I often sneak in a comment or two while waiting for a phone call to be returned or a client to show for a scheduled appointment. I have added my outside blog address to my flyers and marketing materials. I refer open house attendees to my blog and they love it! It is a no pressure way for them to find out what makes me tick and what is moving in their market. Not only do they become educated about the local real estate market, they can observe my style and market knowledge at the same time. Now that is effective multi-tasking!
Oops, had to take a call, but I am back and ready to wrap this up. I have a 3:00 appointment and must make a couple of calls and check my email for that counter offer before he arrives.
When work is done, I often find the bits and pieces of my day fit together perfectly and progress was made on a multitude of fronts and files. The daily mosaic of activities is held together with an Active Rain thread. AR helps me keep several balls in the air!
Oh, one of those calls I took was from a buyer wanting to see property next week. She contacted me from my Active Rain blog.
