March Madness!

All right!  Maybe this is a little late, but I thought I would share my pictures of Monday's snow day.  I was so busy this week that I haven't been able to download the pictures I took and share them with my fellow Rainers.

I kept trying to get a shot of the whirlwinds of snow that were being blown around in the heavy winds, but I couldn't seem to capture it. But this one above is looking out over my front/side yard on the white blanket of snow.

This one is of the cul-de-sac in front of my house.  You can see it was supposed to be trash day.  No such luck.  And the snow plow never came either.  Prince William County seems to be penny pinching these days.  Of course, with our northern exposure, my husband and I were out shoveling as soon as we could.  Didn't want to fight a snowy/icy driveway for days.

That;s all for my snowday.  It was a nice diversion, and much like a rainy day, a great day to get a lot of paperwork done.

Hi Chris Ann-We got 8" here and that hadn't happened they told me since 2000. It is almost gone and will be by days end tomorrow as it is supposed to reach 70 degrees. Great photos.  Enjoy your night.  ;-)

Chris - The snow looks beautiful. I like snow, but I like Hawaii's climate too. Mind if I share a little with you?

Sharon:  We were lucky if what we got was four inches...but it was icy beneath.

Michael:  Thanks for the rainbow.  I'll have to go searching for the pot of gold beneath it.  :)

Chris Ann,

New fallen snow looks so pretty.  It looks like you got more snow than we did here in the Lehigh Valley.

Brigita:  I think the further north you were, the less it dumped.

I love that you all got snow Chris Ann. It is like a winter wonderland. We haven't seen a flake in our area this season. Global warming for us?? We may fry this summer and no rain for months!!

Gary:  Do you normally get some snow in the Dallas area?  I wouldn't think so, but I've never been to Texas.
