North Branford Boys Basketball Victory!

The North Branford T-Birds Varsity basketball team played East Hampton tonight.  North Branford won with a clear 73-43 victory over East Hampton. 

In the Class S CIAC State playoffs North Branford advanced to round 2 after defeating the East Hampton Bell Ringers.

The T-birds jumped off with an early 5-0 lead which was answered by East Hampton.  The quarter ended with the T Birds leading 14-10.  The second quarter went back and forth with the T Birds closing 30-21.  The T Birds then went on to score 21 points to the Bell Ringers 6 in the 3rd quarter.  With the score now 51-27 the T Birds continued to push ending with a 30 point victory!

John Lasko scored 19, Alex Robertson scored 12 and Justin McGinley finished with 11.

In the final minutes of the game Sophomores Zack Johnson and Taylor Gamache each scored a basket and Mike Forgione, a freshmen also scored a point.

They play again Thursday March 12 at 7pm.
