Northern Virginia is a suburb of Washington D.C. It includes the Counties of Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William and Fauquier. The cities of Arlington, Alexandria and Falls Church are also part of Northern Virginia. Northern Virginia is a little bit different than the rest of Virginia. The population is more transient and more influenced economically by the Federal Government than other parts of the State. It is a great place to live, with a well-educated population, access to great educational opportunities, music and art venues and a strong economy.
