Snowy Day Along The Willamette River The snow blitz has hit the Portland area which is really not as common as one might think. Since things tend to close down here when we do get the white stuff my prelisting appointment was cancelled as well as my showings for tomorrow. So with about five inches and  more to come, I put on my boots, hat and gloves..grabbed my camera and took a walk down to the Willamette river. Let it snow!! 02/07/2014

Have You Ever Seen A Raccoon Dog? I can honestly say that I've never even HEARD of a raccoon dog (or Tanuki) until two days ago when I believe one passed very casually in front of my living room window. It was a nice casual weekend morning as hubby and I were sitting by the main window sipping our coffee when this huge thing walked by. At first I thought it was a Raccoon, but it was much fatter and had a pointier nose. It's tail was also ringless...but then again, it could have been cut off. So I searched online and typed in "raccoon like animal" and sure enough, there is actually such an animal called a "raccoon dog". Who new? Sadly, if this is one, according to Wikipedia, they are highly hunted and prized for their fur and often skinned alive for their fur that's passed off and other ... 02/05/2014

Sunrise to Sunset, A Beautiful Willamette River View Sometimes you just have to stop what your doing and take in the moment. Last week, I was up early starting my day the usual way, sipping my coffee while waking my brain up with puzzles when I saw the sky outside and just had to grab my camera to capture it.  Last night, my hubby and I were both sitting in our living room which has a large picture window overlooking the river when suddenly the sky changed into these beautiful hues. Living on the Willamette river sure does give me so many of those moments where I just have to stop what I'm doing to just take in the beauty of nature.
