We've been following this story for awhile. Cities around PA have been competing to win this designation all year to be awarded large amounts of money for city revitalization. Lancaster and Bethlehem were chosen. The CRIZ program was signed into law along with the 2013-14 state budget, is intended to leverage anticipated taxes from development into millions in capital for that development. This will be huge for Lancaster City, which has already been undergoing a renaissance of sorts.
