The Spring real estate market is alive and well in the Palazzo at Park Center in Alexandria, VA, which is evident in this year to date April 2018 Market Report.  As mortgage rates have finally started to creep upwards, buyers that had been sitting on the fence have been motivated to finally spring into action and start writing offers on a home.  With the exception of one outlier sale, the average time from listing to a contract is under 9 days so far this year.

This Florence model; with 726 finished square feet, a huge walk-in closet, spacious bathroom with oversized soaking tub, private balcony overlooking mature green space, and 1 garage space, successfully went to settlement recently after just 5 days on the market.  The unit had the original cabinetry, counters, and appliances from construction back in 2000 and the net sales price was the highest for this model since March of 2010.  Other units are showing that sales/price momentum continues to be strong in the association due to the high affordability of the complex.
