While we live in the high desert areas where you think floodplain would not exist, it does, and is a factor in the development of parcels of land in North Scottsdale and Unincorporated Maricopa County.
The specific area I spend a lot of time marketing is in the area known as the "Rio Verde Foothills". Geographically, this area is includes land to the east of 136th Street, Tonto National Forest to the north, the Verde river to the east and McDowell Mountain Regional Park to the south.
