home tours: iPhone 4 Super Wide angle lens with Belt Clip - Sample Video - 10/10/11 04:58 PM
Nearly bombproof case allows you to shoot 14.75mm photos and SUPER WIDE 14mm video using your iPhone 4.
To Shoot Photos: Simply remove the frontmost lens and use only the smaller lens. This will allow you to shoot 14.75mm photos.
To Shoot Video: Attach the super wide angle lens by screwing it on to the smaller lens. We suggest you use an app like ProCamera or AlmostDSLR to then adjust and lock the exposure(brightness) and lock the focus. Both those apps have lots of documentation online and are super simple to use. In our opinion ProCamera gives the best results for … (3 comments)

home tours: The Importance of Filming Wide - Post Production Video Stabilization - 03/30/11 09:42 AM

You may have viewed some of the 1000's of real estate videos on HDhat.com and video search site at HDhathomes.com and noticed that many seem like the camera is almost floating through the house. The first thought may be " now thats a Pro with a fancy $1500 stabilizing system and a high end camera", but in fact all the videos on HDhat.com were filmed without any fancy stabilizing system. In most cases the camera was simply handheld by an agent and filmed using a small point and shoot camera on the video setting!

SO HOW DO … (3 comments)

For those agents wanting a more versatile higher end DSLR camera that also shoots fantastic video you may want to consider the Canon T2i. Below is an overview of the camera and below that is some actual video tours shot in Manhattan using the T2i. It is important to note that these tours were the agents first using the T2i and also that the file sizes generated by the Canon T2i are quite large when compared with other video cameras such as the Sony HX-1 or Kodak Zi8.

Chris: Hi Mark I got your email and I know from past conversations with you a little bit about the history of HDhat.com. So I know that you got your start from a need to add video to a group of RE/MAX real estate offices in Lansing Michigan.

Mark: Yes, what I came up with then is something … (9 comments)

home tours: Iphone 4 Real Estate Video Sample - HDHat.com - 07/22/10 06:18 PM
HDhat's initial testing of the Iphone 4 has revealed that it is a great choice for a real estate video tour camera, however certain minor and simple modifications will be necessary.

1) The Iphone 4 will need a wide angle lens.
HDhat.com has tested a very inexpensinve .45x wide angle lens on the Iphone 4 with great success. We will publish the modification method here on TechSavvyAgent.com and our Blog soon.
2) The Iphone 4 will benefit greatly from a simple stabilizer system which will also be quite simple to accommodate.
Neither the wide angle modification … (11 comments)

home tours: Video Tour Starburst Sign Riders & Standalone Samples - 03/24/09 11:59 PM
Here is a sampling of a Starburst Sign Rider and a link below the picture to order directly from Oakley Sign.
I recommend a standalone 18" x 24" video tour signs for best results.  However, in areas where only one sign is permitted these starbursts will work well to add additional buyer & neighborhood traffic.
If you put 5-7 of these signs out on different listings that have Video Tours you will notice the increase in traffic and good solid leads immediately.
